Pakeer Youth Association for Development is a Community - Based Organisation focusing on youth and women empowerment in the society. It's where the youth come together and solve problems arising in the community.

We are part of Twic East Youth Association in Juba. Pakeeer Payam is a community in Twic East County of Jonglei State neighbouring Ajoung Payam and Jalle Payam.

Who Are We?

Pakeer Youth Association for Development in Juba, was founded in 2008 and its first leader being Anyang Atem Agoot. It has helped promote different aspects of the community. Its support to students and women is one of the striking core values that it has served in the community. It's also the best way to bring the youth and women of Pakeer Community together and do one common agenda for the development of the community.

Youth Support

PYAD - JUBA has supported the youth especially those pursuing their academic journeys in both levels. It gives educational support to members of Pakeer community and help them achieve their dreams.

Women Empower

PYAD-JUBA empowers women by helping them attend some vocational training on practical skills, and learn how to start a small business that can generate them some income for sustaining their families e.g tailoring trainings and distribution of tailoring machines too.

Community Building

PYAD-JUBA is focused on how to build the communities and its sections. It helps the people of Pakeer in working on projects that can bring progress to the people. e.g Maar Secondary School that will be built in Maar.

Kuol Matiop Deng

Mr. Kuol Matiop was the leader of Pakeer Youth Association in Juba from 2020 - 2023. He has served with great leadership ability and empowerment of the community in many aspects.

Anyieth Mayen

Mr. Anyieth was the leader of Pakeer Youth Association for Development in the years of 2017 - 2019. He is one of the most remembered leaders of PYAD ever with great contribution like the first constitution of PYAD. He was one of the leaders that organized and made the PYAD move in the right channel.

Anyang Atem Agoot

Mr. Anyang is highly anticipated in the history of PYAD-JUBA. He served in the year of 2008 - 2017. He was the first leader and the one that first organized PYAD with high contribution. His leadership start has led to the great sustainability of PYAD-JUBA.
